COVID- 19 : IS INDIA LOSING THE BATTLE ?

Currently, India is ranking at Second spot with the highest number of cases of COVID 19. what gone wrong as country declare the strict Lockdown very early when COVID 19 cases didn't spike up too much. took all the safety parameters seriously. closed the Airport ( the gateway of the country ) and other public gathering platforms ( Railway, Bus, interstate movement, Market & malls etc.) to control it. India is not just a country but many countries reside in India because of its diversity. with a massive population of 1.35 Billion people the second highest in the world after China.

The big question is that if the country was ready to fight the battle against the invisible virus than why today it seems that we have failed to win it. is it just the government to blame on or something else? lets analysis the growing pandemic with key factors that cause its spread:

a) first of all we all know that its a virus which is not visible so only awareness and carefulness can protect us by getting exposed to coronavirus. but even after so many awareness that took place with government effort people didn't take it seriously and we have seen how many gatherings organised in different places whether it's a religious gathering, marriage ceremony, political assembling etc. so somewhere we people make it a war against the rule rather a war against the virus.

.b) we are witnessing one of the toughest time, not just coronavirus killing people across the globe but it's weakening the global economy and in India where billion people live with one of the highest percentages of poverty facing the crumbling economy and severity of medical facility. our poor infrastructure and lack of sanitation is also a major contributor to the disease.

c) one of the major contributors in spreading the coronavirus in India is letting go attitude. in India, it is a gruelling process to implement or enforce a law, as people find an excuse to expose the law. when the lockdown happened in the march since then we have seen many instances when people break the rule by not using the face mask, roaming outside without ant cause, pubs and bars operating hiddenly.

d) earlier virus which started from big cities spreading to small cities and rural India and here the administration failed to be more agile in spreading the awareness. the lethargic attitude of many state government to address this pandemic seriously was missing like the West Bengal government didn't pay much attention when the Indian railway wanted to operate trains which carrying labourers of Bengal from other cities to west Bengal. afraid of the taking responsibility of the people who may carry the virus from other states to Bengal that might create a severe situation, the major scuffle happens between the centre and the state government.

e) Many rumours took place regarding Vaccine that didn't formalise till now and we are only hoping that it comes soon. however, in India, we don't know when we are going to touch the peak since every medical panellist sitting on TV or writing on newspaper giving different logic and numbers that only create chaos.

f) A small shop owner or retailer, labourers cant sit at home and wait till the pandemic ends. so they choose to work to feed the family. retailers and business owners request the government to give some relief in lockdown and finally that easing out for past town months under unlock down India. this is the fact that poor labourers or people can't starve to death as they know that they might get affected by the virus and die but they can't fight with hunger longer. even the government has to open the economy as it's important to run the finance.

so by putting the above points I have tried to bring some cause related to coronavirus spread in our country that unfortunately spreading like a wildfire that has the only hazardous result. what I believe that we as people have to fight this battle with unity and we can't just rely on governing body to eradicate it. I hope we will win this battle and conquer.
